So I'm turning 18 in a month and a day, I recently got my driver's license, and soon I'll have a job. I feel so old! Am I ready for all this? It seems like I've been racing my whole life to become older and more independent. Now I realize that it just means less time to do what I want and spend with my friends. I have a 4 hour orientation about the history of Albertsons tomorrow and then a class teaching me how to bag and I'll be officially employed. I love the fact that I'll be earning money soon, but to do that I'm giving up every weekend and time afterschool. Now, don't get the wrong impression, I am very excited about all of these new experiences. But I'm equally excited and nervous.
